Back in 2013 I visited South East Asia on a group tour with G Adventures exploring Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand.
Flying into Bangkok, Thailand we moved swiftly into Cambodia.
Cambodia

Thailand/Cambodia Boarder
We took a mini van from Bangkok to Siem Reap Cambodia. On arrival in Seim Reap we headed straight out into the Cambodian Countryside and took a tour around the village and enjoyed a traditional Cambodian evening meal. Sitting in an open sided hut whilst kneeling on the floor, we look
ed out over the local rice fields feasting on all manor of Cambodian foods ranging from Khmer Curry and morning glory (a green vegetable mixed between green beans and spinach). Later that evening we took a slightly precarious, yet very exciting moto-taxi back to Siem Reap, where we had a an evening out on the Pub Street and visited the Angkor What? bar.
Angkor Watt
Waking up early in Siem Reap we travelling the short distance to the Anchor Wat complex to catch the sun rise over the top the ancient temple.
The sheer size of the complex was over whelming and trying to understand how something that size could have been built
hundreds of years ago is unbelievable. Not only were the building huge but so too was the gigantic mote surrounding the complex.
To be continued……
